From architectural designer Moore Plans, these carefully curated designs have been pre-approved by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). This means they comply with the NZ Building Code, which helps speed the consent process (approximately 10 working days). They also include a trade summary with quantities for quicker build-cost estimates.

Are these Council Consent Plans
Yes, these documents have been pre assessed to the building code by Ministry of Business & Employment (MBIE).
The only information that needs to be submitted into council for approval is the following.
- Consent Drawings (pre-approved)
- Product Specification
- Design certificate (CoDW)
- Statement letter & MBIE certificate
Are your plans designed in New Zealand
Yes, all plans & documents are created right here in NZ. (Canterbury)
Can I mirror a plan to suit my site?
Yes, mirror images of the floor plan are permitted and approved by MBIE.
An extra cost will apply.
What extra requirements do I need for consent?
- Proof of ownership of the site (certificate of title no less than 6 months old) or rates demand with owner and site details.
- Ground report (in some areas)
- Completed council forms
- All council fees & costs
Can plan changes be made?
Yes, Moore Plans NZ Ltd can amend existing plan documents to suit your needs if required at an additional cost.
Depending on the extent of the change, they may be included within the MBIE certificate conditions.
The simple, verified plans come with site variations and your council consent are in place, giving you a head start on your build. All that's left is to obtain site consent for your easy road ahead.
